Driving and racing technology training for upper secondary children will be held by TBA Racing from Sahy and M&B Autó és Motor SE from Dömsöd.
We welcome the applications from 11-15 year old children who want to try out the experience of driving, who are interested in motorsports and who want to learn the basics of safe driving in the framework of an unforgettable series of events.
The “Good driver, safe arrival” project is implemented within the framework of the Interreg Small Project fund.
A few general information (what exactly we will do):
Together, the two racing teams will implement a total of 4 cross-border traffic safety events, two of which will be held for primary school children and two for special school children.
For primary school children, the first one of the series of events will take place in Ipolyság on 19th of August and the second in Dömsöd on the 22nd of August, 2020.
At the first event, you will primarily familiarize with our racing cars and our innovative KartCross sports equipment, which was developed specifically for children to learn to drive. The technical presentation will be followed by a theoretical training session where our riders and mentors will talk about driving, road and racetrack rules – in an interactive, understandable and exciting way, of course. This will be followed by a session on racing simulator where children will be able to drive and compete virtually, warming up for real driving. Then we try out the most basic parts of driving on our small practice track: starting, accelerating, braking and maneuvering. Finally, you can test your skills in a road rule park, all with double-pedal cars, mentored by professional racing drivers!
The second event will take place in Dömsöd, at the Dömsöd Autocross Arena, which is an international racetrack. Firsty, we will refresh your knowledge from what we have leart ont he first event. After that, we invite you for a joy ride, so that you can familiarize with the racing circuit. Then you hop to the double-dedal cars, and KartCross again and try out the racing track yourself! At first, on a certain section of the track, then slowly increasing the distance while you reach a full lap. We will then simulate situations like a slippery road surface so you can learn how to correct vehicle slippage and other movements with the help of our experts.
Your parents don’t have to worry either, as we pay huge attention to safety, and in addition to our competitors, mentors and educators, safety experts will also be present at the events. This way you will be under safe and professional supervision all day long. The events are completely free, three meals, travel and all other expenses are provided.

Besides that many fun programmes connected to driving will be held, so nobody will get bored for sure.
